Nominations are now open for the Small Business Impact Awards, recognizing the top upcoming and influential small businesses in Maricopa County. Arizona Ascent will highlight the exceptional small businesses launched or significantly grown in the past year and the visionary founders and teams behind them in our March/April issue.
Celebrating Maricopa County’s Rising Stars
The Small Business Impact Awards celebrate the achievements of Maricopa County’s most promising small businesses. These awards highlight businesses that demonstrate significant growth, innovative practices, and positive contributions to their communities.
The selection committee considers the following factors when choosing a winner:
- Economic contributions to Maricopa County
- Business growth and scalability
- Innovation in products or services
- Community engagement and impact
- Entrepreneurial leadership and vision
Nomination Process
All nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee comprised of business leaders, community stakeholders, and the Arizona Ascent editorial team. To be considered, the 2025 Small Business Impact Awards nomination forms must be submitted by January 22, 2025. Eligible businesses must have been established or significantly grown between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024. The committee will determine winners from the nominations submitted by the deadline, and contact the winners ahead of time.
What to Expect
This is the first year of the Small Business Impact Awards, and we are excited to bring together the community through our magazine to celebrate the ingenuity, dedication, and impact of Maricopa County’s small businesses. The 2025 awards will be featured in a special section of the March and April issue of Arizona Ascent Magazine.
The feature will highlight success stories from diverse industries, including technology startups, innovative retail concepts, and community-focused enterprises. Each nominee represents the best of Maricopa County’s entrepreneurial spirit, making this a must-read for anyone interested in the local business scene.
