In an era where relentless hustle is often glorified, Jennifer Maggiore is charting a different course—one where business success and personal well-being aren’t mutually exclusive. As the founder of Always This Good, a consulting firm that champions mindful business strategy, Maggiore has spent nearly two decades guiding women entrepreneurs and executives toward sustainable, purpose-driven success. Her journey from the early days of social media marketing to leading a holistic consulting practice is one of resilience, reinvention, and a steadfast commitment to redefining what it means to lead.
The Evolution of a Digital Pioneer
Maggiore’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2005, when social media was still uncharted territory. “It felt like an open frontier—experimentation was encouraged, and organic reach was high without the need for big advertising budgets,” she recalls. Over time, as platforms became more monetized and algorithm-driven, she recognized the need to continuously evolve.

Maggiore recounts how the TikTok blackout was a wake-up call for many, making consumers realize that platforms can disappear in the blink of an eye. While this shift made social media more transactional and less “social,” it also reinforced a lesson that has guided her approach: adaptability is key. Maggiore’s firm has remained ahead of the curve by prioritizing continuous learning and evolving strategies to align with the changing digital landscape.
But as the industry became more data-driven and less human-centered, Maggiore found herself yearning for more meaningful work. She began integrating mindfulness, stress management, and purpose-driven consulting into her practice. This holistic approach has helped her clients create success that isn’t just financially rewarding but also deeply fulfilling.
From Burnout to Balance

Success didn’t come without challenges. The Great Recession wiped out Maggiore’s financial stability, and she found herself overextending to rebuild. “I pushed myself to the brink of burnout—running a growing agency, caring for my family, and ignoring my own physical and mental health,” she shares. That lifestyle took a toll, culminating in a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease she later put into remission through mindfulness and lifestyle changes.
The experience reshaped her philosophy on leadership. “Your personal well-being isn’t a luxury—it’s foundational to long-term success,” she emphasizes. Her advice to entrepreneurs struggling with burnout is simple but profound: self-care is non-negotiable. Whether it’s short meditations, mindful movement, or simply setting clear boundaries with clients, small intentional habits make a significant difference.
Leading with Empathy and Resilience

Having faced both financial hardships and personal health struggles, Maggiore approaches leadership with a deep sense of empathy. “Surviving the Great Recession, nearly losing my child, and dealing with medical bills shook me to my core,” she says. These experiences gave her a unique perspective on resilience—one that isn’t just about bouncing back but about growing through adversity.
Her coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that leaders are human first. She goes on to mention how her team sees results not just in bank statements, but in fewer sick days, reduced turnover, and greater fulfillment among teams. By addressing both strategy and well-being, she helps clients foster work environments where productivity and purpose go hand in hand.
Challenging the Hustle Culture
Maggiore has been vocal about the dangers of hustle culture, which pressures entrepreneurs to work around the clock. “Our society glorifies burnout as a badge of honor, but it leads to burnout, missed opportunities for innovation, and deteriorating personal and professional relationships,” she warns. She also sees many women business owners struggling with isolation, feeling the need to handle everything themselves.
Her advice? Schedule rest and reflection as if they were business meetings. Seek out supportive networks, whether through mastermind groups or retreats. “Can you imagine Oprah running around doing everything without support? Of course not, and you shouldn’t either,” she quips.
Creating a Space for Transformation

In 2022, Maggiore and her husband, Joe, took a bold step by opening a 4,000 sq. ft. retreat center in Uptown Phoenix. Designed as a sanctuary for business leaders, the space blends professional development with wellness. Maggiore goes on to explain how this retreat center was like “a gift from The Universe” and felt like a second home, where leaders could step away from daily distractions and truly recharge.
The retreat center offers a blend of leadership training, negotiation workshops, yoga, meditation, and aromatherapy. The idea is to integrate personal well-being with business growth, helping leaders break free from old patterns and embrace innovative thinking. “We’re the same person from 9 AM to 5 PM as we are from 5 PM to 9 AM,” she says, and that “the personal challenges that plague us show up in our work.”
Transforming Leadership Through Wellness

The Always This Good Retreat Center has provided a space for local business owners to reduce burnout, strengthen team morale, and foster deeper connections within their networks.
“We’ve seen entrepreneurs regain their passion and clarity, which in turn positively impacts their teams, their families, and their community,” Maggiore shares.
The center also serves as a hub for collaboration, hosting events like Meditation + Mindful Movement, a gratitude ritual celebrating the full moon. By blending business strategy with holistic well-being, Maggiore is helping shape a more community-driven business ecosystem in Phoenix and beyond.
Achievements & Recognition
Maggiore’s impact hasn’t gone unnoticed. She has received prestigious accolades, including the Stevie Award for Encouraging Work-Life Balance and recognition as one of AZ Republic’s 35 Women Under 35.
“These honors validate our approach and remind me why we do what we do,” she says. “They also open doors to bigger conversations about how we can continue influencing business practices to be more compassionate, equitable, and impactful.”
“May It Be Always This Good or Better”
The name of her company, Always This Good, is inspired by a family toast in Italian: “May it be always this good or better.” It’s a philosophy that shapes every aspect of her work, emphasizing optimism, growth, and the pursuit of something even greater than imagined.
Jennifer Maggiore’s journey is a testament to the power of reinvention and resilience. By challenging the status quo, embracing mindfulness, and advocating for a more balanced approach to leadership, she’s proving that true success isn’t about working harder—it’s about working smarter, with intention and heart.
